When I say... "I am a Christian"

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received Gods grace, somehow!!

Great Verses to Meditate...

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

Proverbs 3:21-26
My son, let them not depart from your eyes—
Keep sound wisdom and discretion;
So they will be life to your soul
And grace to your neck.
Then you will walk safely in your way,
And your foot will not stumble.
When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
Do not be afraid of sudden terror,
Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
For the LORD will be your confidence,
And will keep your foot from being caught.

1 Peter 5:5-6
Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders.
Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for
"God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God,
that He may exalt you in due time,
casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Isaiah 41:10 & 13
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.'

Lamentations 3:55-57
I called on Your name, O Lord, from the lowest pit.
You have heard my voice: "Do not hide Your ear from my sighing, from my cry for help."
You draw near on the day I called on You, and said, "Do not fear!"

He is the Light...

Matthew 2: 9-10
"9After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10When they saw the star, they were overjoyed."

Jesus is the light in our dark moments in life...
We as human always have problems... everyone in this world especially in these economic nightmare... a lot of people don't have hope to get up again.

It is very interesting that during the birth of Jesus, three wise men from the east saw a great star was shining in the dark sky... This is the star that catch their attention, it is something that motivate them to see the King of kings that born as a baby. When they saw that star, they overwhelm with joy (Matthew 2 :9).

Important thing to take note is Jesus was born into this world at night and there a great star in the sky. "So, what is the big deal then?"

We all know that "night" is related to "darkness". Darkness means chaos life, broken-down world, world full of sins and hopelessness in life.
"Star" always bring light. When we see stars, we think something related to light, glory, and beauty.

Jesus come to bring light in your dark moments in life... He is the ONLY source, strength and hope we can rely upon. When we feel darkness overwhelm our life, come to Jesus as the three wise men did.
In Matthew 2:10 says "When they saw the star, they were overjoyed."
When we come to Jesus, He will give us rest... He will turn your every dark situation into light and joy. In Isaiah 55:3 says "Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live." (Read this verse again until it overwhelms you)

What a Grace... Imagine this: Jesus the Lord of all this universe come as a baby to bring light and hope into our broken-down world. Come and thank Him for His goodness.

God Bless You
